We are thrilled to announce that Winona Farris has joined Joy Liu’s team at HELM Real Estate. We are so pleased to welcome her as the newest member of the Crew and are excited to be working with her.
Get To Know Winona….
Although she came from the Philippines when she was 6, Winona considers herself a San Francisco native. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration after majoring in accounting. Her background in finance led her to work in nonprofit organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union for nearly 20 years. She most recently served at the Alameda Education Association, where she enjoyed working for organizations that help serve others. Her passion for the Bay Area’s architectural diversity and visiting open houses “just for fun” would lead her to real estate. Following a cancer diagnosis and becoming a survivor, she chose to leave her 9-to-5 job to pursue a greater work-life balance as a Realtor®.
Winona lived and worked in San Francisco until 2006 when she and her husband, an East Bay native, decided to start their family in Alameda. She can officially say that she is an “island” local, but her heart remains close to San Francisco! Winona and her husband have loved every minute of raising their two daughters and living in Alameda. Appropriately, she wants her clients to feel the same way she feels about her hometown. Winona wants them to experience the excitement and thrill that she and her husband felt when they purchased their home. She loves what Alameda has to offer along with the rest of the Bay Area, including its diversity, beauty, attractions, and ever-changing demographics.
With her love for real estate (and her two hometowns) and extensive background in finance, Winona can help you analyze the market, find a home within your budget, and sell your house at a high price using current market data. Let Winona help you feel grounded and calm in a fast-paced market. She’ll make your real estate needs less stressful and more attainable, one breath at a time!
